Finding a birthday party activity that keeps a group of teens engaged can be a challenge. When my daughter recently celebrated her 14th birthday, we wanted something a little different than the usual party venue—and Hometown Escapes in Fort Mill delivered an experience that had the girls talking long after the party ended.
For her birthday, my daughter and four friends took on the Escape the Titanic adventure at Hometown Escapes. From the moment they entered the room, they were immersed in the story and quickly realized that teamwork, communication, and problem-solving would be the key to success.
The girls spent the next hour searching for clues, solving puzzles, and working together to navigate the challenges inspired by one of history's most famous ships. What I loved most was watching them put their phones away and fully engage with one another. There was plenty of laughter, excitement, and a few dramatic moments as the clock counted down!

- 🔐 Jailbreak – Escape before the warden returns.
- 🧙 Wizard's Academy – Use your wits and magical knowledge to save the wizarding world.
- 🦤 The Island – Embark on a mysterious island adventure in search of the elusive dodo bird.
- 🤠 Shady Lady Saloon – Travel back to the Old West and recover a stash of stolen gold.
Keep the Celebration Going
After the escape room experience, we moved into their party room to celebrate with food, cake, and gifts. Having a dedicated space right on-site made the day incredibly easy. There was no need to coordinate multiple locations or rush from one activity to another. We simply continued the celebration while the girls talked about their favorite puzzles and memorable moments from the game.
