By NarroWay Productions September 6, 2026

NarroWay Productions is celebrating 30 years as one of the largest, faith-based dinner theatres in the United States. The public is invited to a special 30th Birthday Celebration Week, Sept. 14–20, 2026.

The milestone celebration features NarroWay on the FairWay golf tournament, The NarroWay Story, three performances of a Martin & Clark original, and audience favorite, The Gospel According to Tennessee, and ends with a free community festival.

Celebrating 30 Years of NarroWay

Incorporated on September 17, 1996, NarroWay has grown into a premier destination for unprecedented Christian theatre, serving dinner with the shows and offering arts education classes and camps in a values driven environment.

Located at the North Carolina / South Carolina state line, in Fort Mill, South Carolina, NarroWay has earned the title “The Broadway of Christian Entertainment.” The weeklong celebration will honor NarroWay’s history, recognize its impact, get a sneak-peak at the bold vision that lies ahead and introduce NarroWay to the broader area in a high-energy, fun-packed festival.

“This milestone belongs to every performer, student, volunteer, donor, community partner, and guest who has been part of NarroWay’s story,” says Alisha Hutchens, Operations Manager. “For 30 years, NarroWay has been a place where groups vacation, families come together, children discover, and gripping sagas of faith come to life. We cannot wait to celebrate with the community that made it all possible.”

Monday, Sept. 14: NarroWay on the FairWay Golf Tournament

Celebration Week begins Monday, Sept. 14, with the fifth annual NarroWay on the Fairway golf tournament.

Golfers will begin the day with a complimentary Chick-fil-A breakfast before enjoying a memorable day on the course. The tournament features valuable raffles, incredible giveaways, and a delectable, filling complimentary post-tournament lunch.

This event happens at 2:30pm and 6:30pm, beginning with complimentary birthday finger foods and a walk through, hands-on historical timeline and includes meeting NarroWay’s newest camel, Cleopatra as she makes her premiere appearance on stage.

Friday & Saturday, Sept. 18–19: The Gospel According to Tennessee

Friday and Saturday, Sept. 18–19 features performances of a NarroWay audience favorite, The Gospel According to Tennessee.

This funny, feel-good musical steps back to 1926 into the hills of East Tennessee and is bursting with the spirit of Appalachia. Filled with laughter, unforgettable characters and a powerful message, the show is inspired by a real-life story.

Masterful narratives and brilliant plots have defined NarroWay storytelling for three decades. Each production is an original musical, and performances include a themed dinner served by the cast themselves.

NarroWay is often described as "theatre for people who don't like theatre as well as those who love it" because the setting is intimate, the experience is personally engaging, the stories are greatly entertaining and profoundly captivating.

Tickets are available online at narroway.net.

Confidence building, focus, discipline, creativity, problem-solving, communication skills, public speaking, overcoming fears, teamwork, in-depth Bible studies are all part of the class and camp experiences.

“Parents are desperate for a safe place to educate their children and help them gain positive life-altering experiences. This year alone NarroWay has seen an enrollment of over 500 children and teenagers in homeschool theatre classes and camps.” Phillips says.

“We must have more space to keep growing. That’s why NarroWay is praying for financial miracles to move forward and expand our facilities. Thousands of children have walked through our doors and have discovered they are capable of more than they ever imagined. NarroWay becomes an encouraging, safe environment, a place to belong, grow in faith and build lasting friendships.”

A Local Destination With a Regional Impact

NarroWay Productions has been a lasting economic benefit to the surrounding area, serving as a cultural and tourism destination. It attracts audiences from all over the United States.

Motorcoach tours, church groups, schools, families and individuals travel to experience this one-of-a-kind theatrical experience. These guests contribute to the local economy by staying in area hotels, dining, shopping, purchasing fuel and enjoying other nearby attractions.

“When guests attend a performance at NarroWay, the impact extends far beyond our doors,” says Angelina Steele, Executive Administrator. “They eat, shop, stay and explore throughout our community. We are thrilled to contribute to the betterment of our area’s growth and to help make this area a much-desired tourist destination.”

NarroWay also supports the community through employment opportunities, local purchasing and partnerships with area businesses, independent contractors, vendors and service providers.

Lora McCoy, Theatre Manager, adds, “Drawing visitors to Fort Mill, NarroWay helps introduce new audiences to the county while generating additional activity for surrounding businesses. It’s a win/win for everyone.”

Come Discover Fort Mill's "Best Kept Secret"

Yvonne Clark, President and co-founder of NarroWay concludes, “NarroWay is often referred to as the area’s ‘best kept secret’. This celebration is not only for those who know about NarroWay but especially for those who don’t. The Bible tells us that Jesus said, ‘A prophet is not without honor except in his own town.’ Even Jesus knew that we all take the one’s closest to us for granted and don’t realize how special they are.

“At NarroWay we see guests from all over the United States and yet every week hear someone say, ‘I live 10-minutes away and had no idea what NarroWay was.’ We want to change that. We live here. We shop here. We have made it through the good and bad times here for 30 years. We want to let our neighbors in on this ‘best kept secret’. Come celebrate with us and discover NarroWay!”
